Defining Bionic

Informal. having superhuman strength or capacity.

Of course, I know that I am not bionic in the literal sense of the word. Or even in the informal sense of the word. But, figuratively, I'm there!

I keep trying to imagine myself as strong and powerful, breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth, as I power through these days of small children and self-reinvention. With every diaper I change and every grilled cheese sandwich I make, I remind myself that I am doing good work. And as I try to take on more self-improvement projects (going back to school, getting back into the workout routine, actually using chipotle peppers in adobo sauce in a recipe, etc.), I have to remind myself that I can do it.
